Former KPMG global head Michael Andrew hailed as tireless reformer
Michael Andrew, the former global chief of KPMG who died earlier this week, has left a lasting legacy in business, education, government, sport and cancer research.
Mr Andrew's final years of work as chair of the Australian Board of Taxation and the federal government's Black Economy Task Force started the process for creating a fairer and more transparent tax system.

He had been a member of the Racing Victoria board since 2016 where he chaired the audit and risk sub-committee and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Advisory Panel.
Chairman Brian Kruger, said: "He had been leading our efforts in improving the integrity of the sport, which he was deeply committed to."
Mr Andrew, who went to Melbourne High School before completing degrees in law and commerce at Melbourne University, started at KPMG in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Mardi, and daughters Danielle and Monique.
