Body found on Melbourne beach

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body on a beach in Melbourne's south-east.

Emergency services were called to Beach Road in Parkdale, 23 kilometres south-east of the CBD, about 10am on Thursday after the body was found on the foreshore.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene, but determined there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the person's death
